Vision & Mission

Go therefore and make disciples...

The Vision

On August 23, 2000, we began a journey together. It has been over hills and through valleys with lots of blessings, thrills, laughter, tears, and sometimes pain, but mostly heaven-sent joy.  As Marylin and I realized the unmistakable call of God, we knew there was no turning back. Our response was simple: Yes, Lord! We didn’t know how but we knew Who and we believed Him for everything. We’ve been so blessed to see hundreds come to Christ, receiving Him as Lord and Savior. We’ve seen TVCC grow from a sprout to a healthy, growing, thriving, disciple-making family tree. Together we’ve been on mission around the globe and God is continually opening doors of opportunity as each time we say, Yes, Lord!

As we enter our twentieth year, we do so with renewed anticipation of God’s purpose and plan for the family of God that is – and those who are yet to be – gathered together as this “city on a hill” at 2500 E. Wood St. We are anticipating great things from our great God! We can’t outdream Him and we certainly can’t out-give Him. Our job 1 is to be like Christ, keep our face “set like flint” toward the Cross, and be salty Christians, not ashamed to let our light shine as we continue our journey together.

The Mission

Matthew 22:37-39   (The Great Commandment)
37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Matthew 28:19-20   (The Great Commission)
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
