Worship Song - Make Room

Oct 11, 2022

Hello TVCC family,
Pastor Gene here. I hope your week is off to a great start as we continue in our Experiencing God series and daily study together. This week and next present tremendous opportunities to surrender ourselves to God as we exercise our faith in “The Crisis of Belief” and then as we “Adjust our Lives to God”. When we surrender our lives to God, we are worshiping Him. Surrender doesn't lead to worship; our surrender is our worship. The proper response of someone who has been given everything is to surrender their very life to the one who has given them everything. Jesus has given us everything, so it is our privilege to give all of ourselves to Him and make room for Him to do what only He can do through our lives. Remember, He is the vine and we are the branches, apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).

TVCC family, I pray for decisive faith as you love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. As you listen to God’s words and demonstrate your love for the Father by keeping His commands, I also pray that you will “Make Room” for God to do whatever He wants to with your life.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have invited members of our Praise team into my studio to record a very timely song that has been on my personal worship playlist since the Summer of 2020, when my oldest son, Mitchell, brought it to my attention. Recently it has resonated with others on the team as well, so I’ve implemented it into our time of corporate worship. The song is titled Make Room and it is courtesy of the talented writers from Community Music at Community Christian Church in Chicago. Thanks to our fabulous praise team members: Katie (featured vocal), Jennifer, Jeremy, Landen, Jay, Jim, Josh, Sarah, Phoebe, Melanie, and Kim; for donating their time and talent to make this recording possible. The attached audio file is free for our TVCC family to download and play as you Worship through surrender this week and beyond.

Much love to you TVCC family,
Gene
