ABLE

Is there anything beyond the scope of the Lord’s power? Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is “ABLE to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think.” There is simply nothing that we can ask of God that He is not capable of doing; yet our prayers tend to be small in comparison to His power.  1 John 5:14-15 gives us instruction and the key to God answering these bold prayers. It states “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” Pray for God’s will, ask according to His will, and trust Him for the results!

Today, I want you to remember that whatever spiritual battles you are fighting, they are the Lord’s. The words to the bridge section of the new song that Kim and I wrote are “The battle’s not yours, it is the Lord’s; the battle’s not yours, give it to the Lord!” Even though we may be surrounded, the Lord says do not be afraid, and don’t be discouraged for He is with us. The Lord is faithful and ABLE every moment of every day. Power and might are in His hands and there is nothing that can stand against Him. He is more than ABLE to take care of us when we are in the center of His will for our lives.
