They say, "Confession is good for the soul." So...
A busy week and lots going on and I'm a couple of days behind in my F-260 devo's (the upcoming church-wide F-260 Reading Plan which begins Jan 1, 2017) that I'm doing with my grandson, Cole. Now...the confession!
Tuesday morning and Cole and I meet for breakfast, as we do every week. We walk into Steak & Shake, sit down and he rattles off, verbatim, Leviticus 26:13. It is one of the memory verses in this week's F-260 plan. He had written his thoughts on the 26th chapter of Leviticus as well!
Okay...I don't know if you're getting this but if not, drink some more coffee and listen up. A 17 year old, senior in high school, busy schedule in academics and sports, is reading two chapters a day and memorizing Scripture. He now understands how God promised to bless His people if they followed Him, how they didn't and the repercussions of that decision, and how Christ fulfilled what we could not keep. AND...how that even though we're forgiven, there are consequences, GOOD or BAD to all of our choices.
If you're not already pumped up about THE WORD at TVCC for 2017, you should be! It's going to be a banner year and as one of our leaders recently said, "This place is going to go crazy next year! Change a person, change a church, change our world!" Amen! See you GROWING in 2017 through D-Groups and F-260 at TVCC.
